In order to responsibly achieve our ambitious business goals, we are searching for an experienced and highly motivated leader (m/f/d) to serve as Director Global Quality & HSE.
In this demanding management role, you will lead the corporate quality and HSE function, maintaining a quality-oriented mindset in the organization and an overall designed-in quality focus, and drive continuous improvement and a significant reduction in costs of quality. With your decentralized team (> 30 employees in claims management, quality assurance, customer service and incoming inspection, based in the production sites, reporting directly to the plant managers) you create, deploy and maintain robust quality systems and processes, define quality and HSE objectives and KPIs and ensure their achievement, plan and conduct internal audits. You combine and coach the quality concepts and methodology group-wide (with regard to lean manufacturing aspects) and liaise to other functions (such as engineering and operations), suppliers and other external stakeholders for all quality related matters, define the necessary capabilities for quality and HSE to be effective within the operation. You ensure compliance with our business objectives, business excellence standards and the requirements of external certification bodies. You report to the Group COO.
As an experienced quality manager from the area of industry, automotive or a technologically/structurally similar segment, you have been working successfully in a comparably complex task for several years. You have the formal qualifications required for this position as well as strong analytical skills and a holistic business understanding. In addition, you are experienced in the further development of a quality and HSE area in terms of content and culture and its establishment as a sparring partner and profitability driver. Besides all conceptual skills (including lean manufacturing), you are a pragmatic implementer and experienced change agent. The culture of a medium-sized industrial company is familiar to you. English language skills and a willingness to travel are required; German language skills are a plus, but not mandatory.
